Always remember that we sing for 1, rather 3 in 1! ;-) Then with commitment, hard work and effort... the rest will fall into place.

All of these points really put things in perspective. In order to do Kingdom work, we must LIVE like Kindgom people. It is so easy to be distracted because we live in Satan's domain. We must keep ourselves in Kingdom minds with the tools the Lord gave us; the power of the Holy Spirit, scripture, and the privelege to connect to Him any time and all of the time. Putting God first is the ONLY way to start, not only within our family life, but within ourselves. Being a booking assistant is a good example, because the motivation is not self-serving. It is not driven by popularity or money, or touring or playing "nice" to people. It is God-serving. The ministry comes first, the charts are an after thought. Whether it be a crowd of 1,000, or a crowd of 50, if the message of Jesus is shared with ONE person, our ministry has been a total success in HIS name, by HIS will. Be obedient to the guidelines the Lord has given us, and we WILL be blessed beyond our wildest imagination.

Thanks for going the distance with it. When I read the email blast I was worried that this was going to derail into a prosperity thing... "God wants you in front of thousands" sort of thing. Nice Tease!

For me at this point in my career, keeping balance amongst all of life's demands is the hardest part. As an artist, number 5 is the hardest struggle for me right now. Not that I believe I act arrogant, but the passion for what we do can sometimes come off as overconfidence to some. I've found the best way to combat this is to catch yourself as often as you can and "LISTEN", that helps you articulate your point to a person with fewer words and the right heart. Otherwise I'll tend to come off like I'm lecturing and that isn't very helpful.

When you are a motivator, teacher, encourager type we really need to work hard on practicing the ministry of listening and going with the advice in scripture to "let your words be few".

Good stuff Jeff, the only way to hear a word from God is to be in the Word, pray over it and serve with a servants heart - with expectation and humility.

Excellent points, and I especially like that you lead with our prayer and devotional life. I have been asking some of these questions lately, and this is right on time.
