With a voice as pure as her love for God, Amanda Ashby’s passion surfaces through her sincere lyrics and vibrant melodies. Her music is a transparent window to the soul. She writes honestly and from the heart, hoping to offer audiences a platform from which they, too, may approach the throne of God. Simply put, she connects with her audiences, leading them into authentic and true worship.
Amanda has been sure of her call to music ministry for over half of her life. At the tender age of 11, she was made keenly aware of God’s call to full-time music ministry through a series of events that transpired around her. Since that time, she’s embraced every opportunity to advance her on the path toward fulfilling this call.
Amanda grew up in a household full of music. Having a naturally gifted family, she was always encouraged to share her talents with her church congregation. She grew up singing in many children’s choirs and musicals. In later childhood, a life-changing opportunity presented itself when she auditioned for and was admitted to a special high school to study music. After completing this 3-year program, God continued to open doors to polish Amanda through acceptance into the Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.
Through her years of active pursuit, Amanda’s passion has blossomed into a heartfelt mission to share the intimacy of God with others through her music. Amanda admits, “A great inspiration for me was not a specific singer, but worship music in general. I love drawing closer to God while listening to and singing worship music.” After receiving her bachelor’s degree in music education and voice, Amanda is continuing to share her heart for music and the Lord by now writing and performing her own songs with audiences in a worship setting.
Amanda Ashby has a humble, committed heart and is sure of God’s call on her life. She graciously offers her gift of music to the God who first gave it to her. Along the way, she offers to touch the hearts and souls of all who would listen. And along the way, she hopes to meet you, a traveler on the journey, humming a familiar tune.
